  30.         Welcome to the second issue of Euphoria!  We still need writers and
  31.       Distro sites so, if you are interested, check out the Information section

  41.       -=Introduction=-

  43.        Growing marijuana has become very popular in the last few years.  This
  44.       is mainly because people are tired of buying pot only to find that it's
  45.       weak, fake, or full of crap (my friend found a piece of an action figure
  46.       in an ounce he bought from some Mexican).

  48.       -=The Law=-

  50.        Of course growing marijuana is illegal, but so is smoking, selling, and
  51.       buying it.  I, the author of this article, take no responsibility for
  52.       anything you do.  But, if you would like to send me a sample of your
  53.       crop... ;)

  55.       -=Steps=-
  56.  
  57.        Growing marijuana can be broken down into four simple steps:
  58.  
  59.       1. Get the seeds.  You almost always find atleast 5 seeds in every gram
  60.          you buy.  So this should be no trouble.
  61.  
  62.       2. Germinate the seeds.  Place the seeds between some moist paper towels
  63.          in a zip-loc bag.  They should sprout in about 1 day to 2 weeks.
  64.  
  65.       3. Plant the sprouts.  Place the sprouted seeds in moist soil with a
  66.          sprinkle of soil over top.
  67.  
  68.       4. Give the plants a light supply.  Either some indirect sunlight or a
  69.          flourescent light hung about 2 inches from the top of the plant.

  71.       -=Soil=-

  73.        You can either buy some high-quality low acid soil at Home Depot,
  74.       K-Mart, etc. or mix your own.
  75.  
  76.        To mix your own take 2 parts moss with 1 part sand and 1 part sponge
  77.       rock to each 4 gallons of soil.  You may also wish to mix in some
  78.       Miracle-Gro or Eco-Grow.

  80.       -=Containers=-
  81.  
  82.        Put you sprout in a peat moss pot.  When your plant reaches about 5
  83.       inches and has a thick stalk find a large sterilized pot and place the
  84.       plant and peat moss pot into the other pot (the peat moss pot will break
  85.       down in the soil).  This causes the plant less shock which leads to
  86.       stunted growth.  Make sure the second pot is large because you don't want
  87.       to have to transplant a 6 foot marijuana plant in 3 months.

  89.       -=Fertilizer=-
  90.  
  91.        After the plant has been in the second container for about 3 weeks you
  92.       can slowly introduce a fertilizer such as Miracle-Gro or Eco-Grow.  At
  93.       about 1 and a half months you'll want to begin to leaf feed the plant.
  94.       Dissolve some fertilizer in warm water and spray the leaves.  Remember
  95.       to stop fertilizing about a week before harvesting.

  97.       -=Light=-
  98.  
  99.        The best bet for light is a florescent light.  They're inexpensive and
  100.       work rather well.  Just place the lights about 2 inches above the top of
  101.       the plant.

  103.       -=Temperature and Humidity=-
  104.  
  105.        Keep the light hours temperature between 68 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit
  106.       and the dark hours about 15 degrees less.  Also, the plants should be in
  107.       a low humidity environment so they can produce alot of resin.

  109.       -=Ventilation=-
  110.  
  111.        Ventilation is very important in growing your plant.  If your plant
  112.       doesn't have proper ventilation it may become sick and die.  This really
  113.       shouldn't be a major concern, though, unless you're growing your plant in
  114.       a closet.

  116.       -=Watering=-
  117.  
  118.        The most important thing to remember when watering is proper drainage.
  119.       Make sure there are holes in the bottom of the pot for the water to
  120.       drain.  It is also a good idea, if you are using tap water, to let it
  121.       stand for about 2 days.

  123.       -=Bugs=-

  125.        If you notice your plants drooping or browning it would be wise to
  126.       mix some soap and warm water and wash the plant.  You will need to rinse
  127.       off the soap... unless you like soapy joints... ;)

  129.       -=Harvest and Curing=-
  130.  
  131.        It's time to harvest your pot!  Uproot the plant and hang it upside down
  132.       for about 24 hours.  Next, put the plant in a paper grocery bag with the
  133.       top open for three or four days.  Now strip off the leaves and buds and
  134.       let them dry on some newpapers in the sun for a few days.

  138.         Well now you have your crop and you can sell it, smoke it, bake it,
  139.        whatever!  When you roll that first joint or pack that first bowl, think
  140.        of me! Peace!
